Dawn Harper and Leroy Dixon Triumph in Island Meets

Dawn Harper surprised Olympic commentators when she took gold in last summer’s Olympics. Her first place wins are no longer a surprise but an expectation of this world-class athlete. Dawn took first place in the 100mH at the Jamaica Invitational this past weekend. Craig Everhart also had a good run in the 400m and came in second in his race. Emmanuel Callender came in fifth in the men’s 100m. While, Tasha Danvers finished sixth in the women’s 400mH.

Leroy Dixon had a great first place win in the men’s 100m in Guadeloupe. Martial Mbandjock came in fifth place in the 100m. Torri Edwards, who was coming back from an injury, finished seventh in the women’s 100m. Reggie Witherspoon finished third in the 200m. David Neville finished sixth in the 200m and seventh in the 400m. Brian Johnson performed great in the long jump and came in second place. Kenneth Ferguson ran in his first meet after surgery and placed 5th in the men’s 400mH.
