Most professional athletes get noticed during college, but Jason Richardson gained a head start in the sport while still in Jr. high school. Richardson successfully graduated from Cedar Hill High with more than just a diploma – he completed four years of school to come running out of the gate as a double World Youth Champion, a double USATF Champion, Texas State Champion, only to top off his rankings by being named the Gatorade and Verizon/USATF Athlete of the Year.

Jason then accepted admission into the University of South Carolina, with marks equivalent to professional athletes. His list of accolades grew with his success on the college track. Jason started a successful 2008 season with a first place win in the 60mH at the UNC Classic. He went on to race silver in the 60mH at the Millrose Games, Tyson Invitational, SEC Indoor, and the NCAA Indoor Championships. In the 110mH, Jason took first place at the Shamrock Invitational, NCAA East Regional, and his first National Championships with a time of 13.40.

Jason also set an Auburn facility record in the 110mH at 13.45 with a win at the Auburn Tiger Classic, was the USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete of the Year and received two All-America honors in the 60mH and 110mH.

He is now ready to take on the world in the international track and field arena!
